About Lisa

I’ve been stuck too.

I spent nearly two decades in an unhappy, unfulfilling life. I worked too much for others’ passions. I bent over backward to make others’ dreams come true. I struggled with my mental health, including depression and self-harm. And my closest relationships were a mess.

What changed?

Me.

When I was 30, I had an identity crisis. I realized that I didn’t know who I was or why I was here. I’d believed in Jesus since I was a little girl, but believing wasn’t enough. I had to give to God all of me so he could shape me into who I was always meant to be.

“I have been crucified with Christ, and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body,[a] I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.” Galatians 2:20

Along this journey, the right people popped into my life to teach me what it meant to be the person God always wanted me to be. They challenged my poor habits. They spoke truth to me. They taught me new habits so I could live a thriving, faith-filled life with purpose.

And now, I want to push, challenge, and teach so you can live with purpose and as the person God always created you to be.

Living With Purpose

I’m glad you’re here because I know you’re going to learn how to turn down the daily noise to create daily habits of living intentionally as followers of Jesus. It’s the little stuff, the day-to-day things, like routines, habits, and mindsets, that pose the biggest challenge to our desires for a more intentional and purposeful life. My life’s mission is to encourage others to know God at the center of their being and then intentionally connect how we think, feel, and do to be in alignment with God. In my story, I struggled against myself and those who loved me rather than building up the natural wiring born in each of us.

“For it was you who created my inward parts; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I will praise you because I have been remarkably and wondrously made. Your works are wondrous, and I know this very well.” Psalm 139:13-14

A Little More About Me

I serve as pastor at Sherwood Community Friends Church, located in Sherwood, OR. Because of my strong leadership background in business and ministry, from entrepreneurship to business management to pastoral leadership, I bring my keen eye for growth, strategy, and big-picture vision into practical, everyday steps to help you and your organization live an intentional, faith-filled life.

My husband Robert and I have been married since August 2003 after just a short 7 weeks of knowing each other. It hasn’t always been wedded bliss though. Through our own journey and identity-seeking, God has brought us into our greatest strengths. Together, we balance each other well.

We have a son, Brayden, who is serving our country in the United States Coast Guard. I love exploring the Pacific Northwest, practicing yoga, hiking, and snuggling with our three fur babies.

I love to encourage people in various ways. To see where else I’ve been in print or speaking, visit my press page. If you would like to book me for an engagement, visit my booking page. If you just want to say hi, send me an email!
