Reveling in the Revelation

This week, I’ve shared with you the wrestling within my spirit over the last year, my impatience as I wait on God, and the realization that I cannot experience all God has in my effort. I desperately need him to step into my life in every area because if I am left in my own hands, I look up and realize the mess I make.

I shared yesterday about the majesty and glory of what we witnessed at the top of our climb at Yosemite. What I wouldn’t give to stay on the mountaintop! We were there in awe of the majestic mountains and views that were before us. We weren’t on the mountaintop alone. We were there with strangers who had been along the journey, too, all with the same objective in mind: to gawk at the majesty of the mountains.

It hit me on that mountaintop that my life was made to worship God and do so with others. In the hard experiences-like pandemics, and losses-and in the joyful times-like milestone birthdays, new jobs, and celebrations-my purpose in every circumstance circles back to worshiping God with my whole being. I am not to do this solo, but just as we will do when we are gathered in heaven together. We will cry out “Holy, Holy, Holy” together in awe because we will be compelled to by the majesty of the King before us.

Prayer: Father God, May my life be a living testament of your glory, that I welcome others traveling along the same path so that we may know your glory together. “Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord God Almighty, Who was, and is, and is to come.”
