Lisa Garon is a writer, speaker, pastor, and spiritual teacher whose work helps people cultivate a deeper, more integrated life with God. She writes and teaches at the intersection of spiritual formation, discipleship, prayer, identity, and the everyday work of becoming whole in Christ.
Lisa brings 20 years of leadership experience across ministry, business, and communications, along with a Bachelor’s degree in Business and a Master’s in Missional Multiplication. Her background gives her a distinctive voice—one that combines theological depth, practical clarity, and an understanding of both the inner life and the systems that shape how people live, lead, and grow.
She currently serves as Executive Pastor at Sherwood Community Friends Church in Sherwood, where she leads, teaches, and helps guide the life of the church. She is especially passionate about spiritual formation, mission, leadership development, and helping people move beyond surface-level religion into a faith that is rooted, embodied, and transformative.
Lisa’s work is shaped by her own journey of surrender and formation. What she offers is not abstract spirituality, but a faith that speaks honestly to real life—desire, healing, obedience, identity, prayer, calling, and the slow work of transformation.
She lives in Oregon with her husband, Robert, and their three pets. They have been married since 2003, and their son, Brayden, serves in the United States Coast Guard. She loves hiking, endurance training, coffee, creativity, and conversations that help people come more fully alive in God.
