To God be the Glory
I share Jesus because of the miracles he’s done in my life that I bear witness to. I glorify God because, when I was in the deepest, muddiest pit, God was still sovereign and good. He was also there with me in the muddied pit, ready to pull me out when I would humbly take his hand, acknowledging that I was in deeper than I could rescue myself from.
But that was the key to my redemption, wasn’t it? God, in his graciousness, extended his hand to me. He sought to pull me out of the muck and the mire. But I could have refused, staying in my muddied pit. To be honest? Some days I did.
But when I accepted His help, that’s when he pulled me out of my despair. That is the moment when my feet were on secure ground. He stabilized me in a way that I could not accomplish on my own when I finally surrendered to him.
I sing a new song of praise to God because he has given me everything good I have. This is why I have staked by current and future vocation to expanding God’s kingdom, in a world increasingly hostile towards people of faith.
Hard times will come again in my life, but the past has told me that God is worth trusting time and again. To God be the glory.
Dear God, thank you for being with me in every part of my journey. Thank you for being with me in the muddied pit. Thank you for setting my feet on solid ground. I give my life fully to you and all will know of your goodness. In Jesus’ name, Amen
